EM7 Meadow Mixture for Sandy Soils

Mixture EM7 contains wild flowers and grasses that are deep rooting and tolerant of drought.

 

Sandy soils are usually infertile, well drained and easy to work.  They are, however, prone to drought and are best seeded in the autumn and winter, giving sown species a chance to establish before the dry summer months arrive.

 

Sandy soils vary considerably in pH, fertility and structure.  EM7 is designed to suit a range of conditions, but if you find it does not fully meet your requirements, we would be happy to advise on alternative custom mixture or modifications to our standard formulation.

 

As with meadow mixtures it is composed of 20% native wild flowers and 80% slow growing grasses (by weight), and the flower and grass components are available separately as EM7(F) for the flower component and EG7 for the grass component.
